Irving Wallace - The Fabulous Showman: The Life and Times of P. T. Barnum
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1959. Hardcover. 8vo. Possible book club edition. Blue boards with yellow spine and blue lettering. Blue top-stain. 279pp., including the index. Faint (for the most part previously erased) pencil markings to the upper edge of the front endpaper. Some smudging to the pages of the text. Fair condition. Minor separation of the text-block from the spine. The spine is very slightly rolled. Creasing, toning, scratching, smudging, and discoloration to the outer/inner boards, endpapers, pages of the text, and the text-block edge. The dust jacket has been clipped as to possible remove indication of it being a book club edition (but it could possibly be simply price clipped if the original price were printed on the lower edge of the front dust jacket flap) and is in poor condition. Light sun-fading to the spine. Edge-wear to the perimeter of the dust jacket. Creasing, toning, scratching, smudging, and discoloration to all faces of the dust jacket. Some chipping to the upper/lower dust jacket spine. Some wear and chipping to corners and hinges. Chipping and tearing to the perimeter, hinges, and upper/lower spine of the dust jacket (see photos).
