Clean covers and pages. No markings. Dust jacket is also very good with just a bit of faint smudging (see photos).
"Leaves in the Wind" is a collection of essays, some whimsical and humorous, others rather serious (it was written during the First World War). "Alpha of the Plough" is an astronomical term (the Irish moniker for Ursa Major) adopted by Gardiner while he was writing for The Star.
