Lettering on the spine of outer boards has been rubbed. The binding is slightly rolled with minor separation of the text-block from the spine. Previous owner's bookplate has been pasted to the front, inner board. Previous owner stamp and name (both in black ink) to the front endpaper (see photos). Bookstore sticker to the lower, left-hand corner of the rear, inner board. Fragile hinges. Toning, scratching, foxing, rubbing, and areas of discoloration to the outer boards. Glassine page protecting the frontispiece is intact and still attached. Creasing, toning, scratching, foxing, rubbing, and areas of discoloration to the inner boards, endpapers, pages of the text, and the text-block edge.
