Faint patches of toning to endpapers along hinges, otherwise immaculate pages. No markings. Board forecorners are rubbed just a tiny bit. Dust jacket is in very good condition, has a couple chips at forecorners, along spine tips; small closed tear along lower front edge (3mm or so--see photo). Edna Ferber has stunned the literary world and its supercilious doubters by mounting in the last decade a most improbable, though well-deserved, comeback. Ice Palace finds the author at her most accessible and dazzling.
