First edition, fourth printing (Note: In all printings subsequent to the fifth Scribner offered this title in greatly compressed form using low-quality paper--perhaps on account of the war.) Good condition. Former owner's name, foxing-like artifact (mirrored onto corresponding position along dust jacket flap) on front free endpaper. Whatever it is, I am truly sorry that it is there. The jacket itself is in good condition, with rubbing along joints and edges, a bit of chipping to the crown of the spine. Thomas Wolfe's second book.
