Covici Friede, 1938. 8vo. Hardcover. 225 pp. First edition, first printing. Very good condition. Immaculate boards and pages. No markings. Price-clipped dust jacket is likewise very good with a few small tears (3mm or so--see photos) to the periphery along spine tips, upper front edge. Benson was better known for her screenplays but she first made her name writing short stories. Emily, published before her breakthrough "Meet me in Saint Louis," (1943), is very scarce!
