Boards rubbed and rather flaccid; textblock edges greased to a swarthy patina by the dirtiest thumbs in Sacramento county. The facsimile (nobody has to know) dust jacket, on the other hand, is quite impressive--though properly aged to give a presentation commensurate with the book's vintage, so it won't radiate fakeness like some gimmicky first editions club title--impressive enough to inspire envy in all of your book-person "friends."
