Frank J. Wilstach - Wild Bill Hickok, The Prince of Pistoleers
Garden City: Garden City Publishing, 1926. Reprint. Hardcover. 8vo. 304 pp. Orange cloth binding. Fair condition. Rubbing, extensive excoriation markings to cloth covers at fore and lower edges (see photos). Clean interior. FACSIMILE dust jacket (it looks like to me) is missing the outer 1/3 part of its paper on the back side along with its rear flap, shortcomings that, however, somehow reconcile it agreeably to the book's vintage so that it doesn't look like some kind of phony fancy-pants luxury prop replica that your annoying friend would buy to try to impress you.
As pistoleers go, Wild Bill was more murdery than most, as Frank J. Wilstach shows in his painstakingly exaggerated 1926 biography of the legendary frontier gunslinger.
