This copy is a hardcover book in fair condition. Included with book is a later state facsimile dust jacket (housed in archival plastic) which shows the publisher as being Covici Friede. The book itself is was published by Covici-McGee in 1922. Illustrated boards. Some outwards bowing at the corners. Binding is somewhat rolled with minor separation of textblock from spine. Publisher's black top-stain to the upper, horizontal edge of the text block. Some minor rubbing, scratching, and fraying to the edges of the boards as well as to the upper/lower spine. Minor scratching and areas of discoloration to the edges of the text block. Minor musty smell to book but no signs of water damage. Toning with small areas of discoloration to inner boards and pages of text. Previous bookstore price written in pencil onto the upper, right-hand corner of the front, blank endpage. Some stray pencil markings to page 277. 289pp. Lavishly illustrated.
