Translated by Constance Garnett. Very good condition. Slight scuffing along bottom of boards. Former owner's name written in ink on half-title page, stamped at the head of p. 1. Otherwise immaculate interior. Dust jacket is chipped a bit at spine tips and forecorners, has a small open tear near lower rear joint (5mm or so--see photos). War and Peace is the very first book (G1) in the Modern Library "Giant" collection.
