"Gypsies are coming" poem on page 50 (changed to "Googies are coming" in later printings) but lacking first edition statement on copyright page. Brown cloth binding. 166 pp. Illustrated with black and white drawings by the author. Fair condition. Boards are worn, somewhat faded along edges. Faint traces of removed sticker on front pastedown paper. Former owner's name written in ink on front free endpaper. Small cluster of pink spatter markings on lower rear endpaper which have been reduplicated by impression on corresponding points of rear pastedown paper and jacket flap. Textblock edges show a variegated pattern of wear/smudging. No markings to text. Price-clipped dust jacket is in good condition with minor scuffing and rimpling along periphery as well as some faint patches of surface excoriation.
